The Narrows

Another memorable hike in Zion is along the river that carved out the canyon.  This involves wading through the river for a major part of the journey.

The day is wonderfully hot, so we set off in just our sandals, whilst many walkers have hired neoprene walking shoes.  They also take sturdy wooden poles, however Stuart and I only have my camera mono pod for assistance between us.

Knowing that we will be wading along a rocky river bed, I take only my waterproof video camera.  Unfortunately, this means I look completely ridiculous

But I do get some beautiful footage of the gorge.  Here is the edited video  and it is only 1 1/2 mins

To film the end bit of footage in the video, I fixed my video camera to the end of my monopod.  Hence the use of the phrase selfie on a stick!
